Shafter Healthy Start’s Mission Statement: 

 

Healthy Start provides specialized services for students and families in Shafter. We provide a safe, accessible place for families to connect with  comprehensive, coordinated services that help strengthen families to become more self-reliant. 

 

Program Goals:

  • Prepare preschool students to enter kindergarten.
  • Provide referrals and supportive services that guide and strengthen families to become self sufficient.
  • Build parenting skills via a positive mindset to increase student  success through parent involvement.
